Daniela NevΓ‘rez (Cielo Pastel) is a prolific transgender multidisciplinary artist and producer based in Los Angeles, whose work spans music, comedy, photography, illustration, technology, and fashion design. Her practice moves fluidly between pop and experimental worlds, exploring emotion and perception through sound, image, and movement.
From long-exposure abstractions and portraits to commissioned illustrations, jewelry, and live comedy performance, her creative universe is eclectic, intimate, and ever-evolving. This portfolio is a snapshot of past explorations, current projects, and ongoing experiments β a reflection of curiosity, reinvention, and the art of seeing the world differently.
Cielo Pastel is my debut mixtape, made up of songs I wrote and produced solo while finding myself and honing my craft. These songs represent so much of my life, most featuring instrumentals written on my phone on the bus and vocals recorded on my Apple headset in bed exhausted after long days of work. Dripping in romance, drama, and persistence, this collection is an ode to resilience and possibility. If I can make these songs with nothing, anything is possible to create.
These pieces begin as photographs β moments of reflection, texture, or gesture β sealed beneath glass and turned into wearable art. I think of them as tiny windows, holding a captured vision close to the body. Each one refracts the world differently, like a memory you can touch.
A celebration of fur, feathers, and friendship. Every portrait turns a favorite animal into a vibrant illustration β part cartoon, part character study, always full of love.
These portraits, live photos, and fashion images capture stories through light and surface, fragments of mood, character, and imagination. Whether photographing people or the materials that adorn them, I approach each image as a collaboration between subject, setting, and feeling.
Near and Far
A collection of images and digital compositions that donβt belong to a single series, but to a feeling. These works trace moments of atmosphere β color, motion, or emotion β that suggest a story without needing to tell one. These photographs and digital works drift between the real and the imagined, capturing small collisions of atmosphere and emotion.
A streetwear and art brand born from play β where illustrated cats, bold color, and surreal imagery collide. Every design starts as my original artwork, from hand-drawn pets to abstract photo experiments, reimagined as wearable statements. Itβs part nostalgia, part mischief, and all bold vibrancy
